Testimonials - page 3 I had
all but given up. I assumed that being fat and out of shape was just my
lot in life. My twin sons summed up best while defending me from an
unkind comment about my weight. One son said, "Dad is just the right
weight for his age." The other then piped in and said, "Yeah, and Dad
looks good fat."
I bought a year's membership at a nice gym. It had all the
equipment you could imagine, but I had no clue how to use any of it.
That was a waste of money. I tried the diet pills that were supposed to
cause you to lose weight and have more energy than you knew what to do
with. I wound up in the hospital, dehydrated. The doctor attributed my
visit to the emergency room to those pills. Oh, I lost about 8-10
pounds BUT it was all water weight, and in Arizona that is not a good
thing. I tried all the different diets and did well for about two weeks
on them. But come on, who wants to eat lousy diet food the rest of your
life? I tried getting back into basketball. I wound up with torn
cartilage in my knee AND I WAS STILL FAT.
My metabolism had obviously quit working, my will power had
deserted me and I was not in good enough shape to get in shape. I
needed professional help. Then I found Better Bodies. One visit with
Jeramy Price and I knew that this was for me. Jason, my personal
trainer, amazes me with his in-depth knowledge of physical fitness and
nutrition. He is more aware of my body's capabilities than I am. He
knows just how far to push me and definitely gets more out of me than I
would ever get out of myself. The trainers are truly the best in the
business. I have learned how to get in shape without hurting my back,
knees, shoulders or any of the muscles that I had left. In two
weeks training I could tell a difference in my stamina and weight loss.
In four weeks, everyone was remarking how well I looked. At six weeks,
I had lost four and half inches in the mid-section and at least two
inches each in the chest, arms and thighs. I'm dropping two pounds of
fat a week (not water weight) and gaining muscle definition. Thank you Jason, Jeramy and all the staff at Better Bodies!

My name is
Jacqueline Mazey and I signed on with Matt O'Brien as my Trainer. My
program is four times a week at 30-minute sessions, In the 36 sessions
that I have been working with Matt, I am down to 21% body fat from 31%
losing 10% fat and I have lost a total of 15 lbs. of body weight. I
feel great and look forward to losing my next 10%. Matt has been a
great trainer, always reading me well; he knows when to push and when
to ease off. He has made my training sessions at Better Bodies, fun and
challenging. I have just signed on for 36 more sessions with Matt, he
already has me going strong!
Sincerely, Jacqueline M
I made a
decision in March to focus on getting fit and losing weight, but I knew
I could not do this by myself. I'd been to other gyms in the past, but
I never could seem to go consistently enough (nor work hard enough) to
reach my goals. I am not athletic and am definitely not very
coordinated. But, I thought Better Bodies personal training sounded
like a more structured approach that could help me. I started training
with Chris on March 20th. I am pleased to tell you that so far I have
lost 25 pounds and 10 inches. Additionally, my strength and fitness
levels have improved a lot.
From the beginning, Chris has been extremely patient with me. He
has always focused on form and doing the exercises correctly to get the
proper benefit. He has encouraged me to work as hard as I can and he
challenges me appropriately to make the exercises harder for me, so I
am constantly improving. Early on, Chris encouraged me to do cardio on
the days that I am not training with him and I have consistently done
this 3x a week. I know this has helped with my weight loss and in
improving my fitness. Finally, Chris gave me some advise on diet and
nutrition that work for me. I also have started attending the nutrition
classes and am learning a lot. I recently signed up for 36 more
training sessions, as I need to lose 20 more pounds and have quite a
way to go with my fitness level. However, I am so motivated now, as I
can see the results of Chris' and my own efforts and I am confident
that I will reach my weight and fitness goals.

I've been
caught in an unhealthy cycle for years, due to a knee injury, asthma,
and multiple food allergies. I've tried programs where I counted
calories and points, and still gained weight. I've joined gyms and
worked out three times a week for six months with little progress. I've
tried months of physical therapy, and participated in a nutritional
program with no success. But finally, Eric Brannon, at Better Bodies,
has carefully crafted a fitness program that meets my specific special
needs.
Thirty years ago, I had my knee repaired after a sports injury. I
haven't been able to do any activities that put stress on my knee for
years. Now, I need knee replacement surgery. Yet, my surgeon won't
operate until I lose a lot of weight. Exercising is difficult because I
am an asthmatic and have been dependent on my inhaler to just get
through a normal workday. I have multiple food allergies, so dieting
has always been a challenge.
Eric designed a workout that doesn't stress my knee that
incorporates weight training and cardio. He worked to gradually improve
my endurance and conditioning. I haven't used my rescue inhaler in
months! He's helped me identify food items that I have now eliminated
from my diet. I've lost 20 pounds and 12 inches. Eric has helped me get
on the road to a healthy lifestyle and a Happy New Year!

I would
like to thank Ty Stone with Better Bodies for his excellent training
ability that has resulted in me losing 40 pounds. I feel 100 times
better and am much stronger than when I started. Each workout with Ty,
is charted out so I know exactly what I have accomplished and can see
goals I will soon achieve. His workouts are the perfect combination of
fun and work to keep me motivated towards my goal.
I recently celebrated my 35th birthday and am in better shape than
I was in my 20's. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present
for myself.
Thank you for Ty's motivation, wealth of fitness knowledge, and his
great personality that has helped me to achieve what I hadn't been able
to on my own.
Sincerely, Darcy L. O.
I'm
writing this as a testimonial to Better Bodies and specifically to
Alex, my trainer. I'm finishing up a 36-session program, which I began
on June 30th. I started out with several general goals: weight loss,
waist reduction, increased strength, coordination and stamina. With
Alex's help and guidance, I've experienced very positive results in all
these areas. The following specific results have been most rewarding:
Weight Loss 20 lbs (204 to 184) Waist 44 1/2 to 39 1/2 Arm (flexed) 13 1/4 to 13 3/4 Hips 44 to 40 1/2 Thigh 22 1/2 to 21 1/2 Calve 15 1/2 to 14 3/4 BF% 24 to 16.1 Fat Mass 49 to 29
These
results were not easy to obtain. I thank Alex for his guidance and his
dedication to his job. He was there to push me that extra yard and
provide the motivation for me to do my best. I'm enrolling in another
36-session program. I definitely recommend Better Bodies to anyone who
wants to improve himself or herself physically and mentally.
Thanks Bill J
That
annoying little pinch from my waistband, my mother's neuropathy, my
dad's bypass surgery in spite of a healthy lifestyle, a looming
birthday and my best friend signing up too - those are all the reasons
I joined Better Bodies. Eighteen weeks later, I am still at Better
Bodies because of my awesome trainer, Rob Cantalicio.
My goal was to fit back into my size 6's. Thanks to Rob I have to
go shopping now for size 4's. In four and one-half months, I have lost
12 inches and 22.5 pounds of fat. My body fat percentage was 28.9% on
my first day and today it is an unbelievable 15.8%. My lean muscle mass
has increased only about 1.6 pounds, but that has been fairly stable
throughout my cardio training and eating plan. Rob said I couldn't have
managed my diet and cardio training any more perfectly. I can boast
about some true muscle tone and definition now.
I wasn't sure what to expect from signing up with a personal
trainer. I was a little nervous because I had signed up for a gym
membership in the past and eventually let the fees become wasted money.
Choosing a private gym and a personal trainer has made all the
difference. Having someone expecting me to show up, even at his
favorite hour of 5:30 am when nobody should be awake, created the
accountability that I needed. Rob's enthusiasm for his job and his
energetic spirit make each session of grueling work, dare I say, Fun!
My progress has been phenomenal, and all of the trainers have been
supportive, but I would never of done it without Rob's encouragement
and personal commitment to helping me achieve my goals. My sincerest
thanks and appreciation to Rob.

I remember
the day, June 20; I was driving down the 22nd listening to the radio.
Here I was 242 lbs, in size 40 pants that I unbuttoned when I sat down
because I really needed a size 42. I huffed and puffed climbing stairs.
I had just left the Doctors office with prescriptions for high blood
pressure, high cholesterol and an anti-inflammatory. In the last 15
years I had gained 50 lbs. As I drove, an advertisement for Better
Bodies came on the radio so I thought what the heck. I called and set
up an appointment to talk with Bob at Better Bodies. I liked what I
heard, set some goals and started working out the next day with Eric
Brannon, 5:30 am.
Well here it is November 30th, . I have lost 20 lbs of fat and
gained 10 lbs of muscle. I weighed 232. My body fat has gone from 22%
to 15%. I just bought a pair of size 38 pants and am really looking
good. I run up stairs, friends are blown away by the change. My
colleagues at work complement me on how much I have changed. My blood
pressure is down, my cholesterol is down and I feel better then I have
in years. Better Body, oh yeah! Look out Tucson this guy is going to be
around a long time. Thanks Eric and Better Bodies.

Dear Mr. Price,
Many times it seems that the only time business owners hear from
their clients is when they are dissatisfied with the service they have
received. Appreciation for superior service is often unacknowledged and
unrecognized. This is not one of those letters.
I am asked often why I travel so far 'just to work out' and that
there has to be a gym closer to me with the same or better equipment. I
quickly answer that I do it because I have a great personal trainer.
Marco Jimenez has been my trainer for almost as long as he has been
with your company. Under his guidance and encouragement I am a much
better person - stronger, healthier and happier with my appearance. The
comments I have received from co-workers and people who have now seen
me for some time are the testament to his knowledge and dedication to
his clients' goals.
I'm sure that I am not his most ' exciting' client. I speak very
little when I workout and I believe at times that may have un-nerved
him. I'm not one for small talk but I will speak when I have something
to say. That is why I am writing this letter to acknowledge and
recognize the outstanding employee you have in Marco.
This letter would not be complete; however, if I did not mention
the other trainers at your Wilmot location. Brice and Jason (who I have
had the pleasure of knowing the longest) with their friendly manner and
positive reinforcement has been much appreciated at times when I
believed my workout was not up to par. (Though Marco stated otherwise)
Jimmy's, Jill's, John's and Ty's encouragement has created an
environment which I believe has contributed to the success I have had. Marco
along with the entire Wilmot staff has made my workouts less of an
anxiety- ridden chore and more of an opportunity to better myself both
mentally and physically. (I thought about saying ' enjoyable' but my
muscles the day after an intense workout wouldn't allow it.)
Because of a recent accident which forced me to purchase a new car,
I do not believe I will be able to continue with my training; something
which I really regret. My departure has nothing to do with the quality
of training I have had (which has been top-notch) or the atmosphere in
where I have trained (which has been supportive and positive). I just
wanted you to know that.
I was going to wish you continued success but with trainers like
Marco and your entire Wilmot staff that just seems like a logical
conclusion.
A grateful and healthier client Steven V
I am 35
years old and I reached the point in my life when I thought that if I
didn't do something to take better care of myself now, the opportunity
would slip away. How to start? I was encouraged to make a call to
Better Bodies after hearing some radio ads featuring testimonials from
real people who achieved real results. Not long after I decided to take
action, I started working with a personal trainer Kris Bolds I needed
someone to show me the proper way to exercise and someone who would "be
in my face" and not let me quit. Working with Kris has been great.
Since I started training, I have lost 15 pounds, five inches off of my
waist, and have gone from a 38.8% body fat to 22.4% -- how great is
that?! Kris has not only shown me what I should be doing and how I
should be doing it, but he has also encouraged me to keep up the good
work whenever I start faltering. I am excited that I am off to such a
great start and I thank Kris and Better Bodies for giving me the
knowledge and the tools to change myself.
Sincerely, Amy S
Woody has had a very positive impact on my life. Working with Woody has enabled me to lose 21 pounds and improve my strength
and endurance. I feel more energized and am very happy with the
progress I have made because of the personal training I have received. Thanks Woody! Missie D
